Some people think that they can just look at themselves in the mirror or estimate their weight based on how their clothes fit. While this method of estimating one’s weight is better than not paying attention at all, it leads us to deceiving ourselves about how healthy we really are.
You cannot estimate your weight consistently and accurately, just like you cannot estimate your own cholesterol levels or your own blood pressure. The only way to accurately know these measurements is by using examination equipment, like a scale.
Every bathroom needs a scale. Having a scale in your bathroom makes it easy for you to view your own weight in the morning, before getting dressed. You may not have to weigh yourself every day, but you should get in the habit of weighing yourself regularly, in order to help control your weight.
